We have made some changes to our core team…
Dear Valued MNL Token Holders & Community,
Don’t worry, we have not got gone anywhere…
Since this is our first progress update in a while, we will be providing lots of content in this four-part series. The goal for this series of updates is to provide full transparency, as mandated, and bring our community up-to-speed with all the developments that have been taking place. This series of updates will be released piecemeal as follows:
1. Changes to our core team of staff (this email);
2. Comprehensive financial report and forecast; to be released on September 28th;
3. A full build and data centre progress update. We will include photos and additional information of the site; to be released on or before September 30th.
4. Plans for our expansion into Colocation Services; to be released on October 3rd.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for its unwavering support of our project despite the recent FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) attacks on our team and project progress in such a brutal and public manner. These unsubstantiated accusations come from a ‘rival’ mining project team who have not built anything in the real world, or even initiated their own fund raise. These comments and accusations were a targeted and co-ordinated FUD attach on MoonLite (as well as other mining projects) which exploited our slower than expected progress updates to our community, and is widely believed to be a marketing and publicity tactic.
I would like to formally apologize to our community for this brief interruption in communications, and have decided to take something positive out of the occurrences of last week, hence we will release regular monthly progress updates on the 21st day of each and every month, or next working day should it fall on a weekend.
It is my pleasure to introduce the following new team members to you, who have been actively working behind the scenes for the last few months…
Robert Graham CA(SA)
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Capitevo Group
Robert is a qualified CA(SA) and is registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Robert completed his Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree at Stellenbosch University, and then completed his training with Deloitte & Touche in 2014. He primarily served clients in the retail, corporate and investment banking industry. Thereafter, he was seconded to Deloitte in Calgary, Canada, where he worked as an Audit Senior on TSX listed Oil and Gas clients. Robert then joined a retail bank in South Africa as their regulatory specialist, ensuring compliance with the Bank’s Act and the Bank for International Settlements’ (BIS) regulatory framework for minimum capital and liquidity requirements for banks known as the “Basel Accord”. In early 2017, Robert left his career in banking to pursue his entrepreneurial interests and joined an eCommerce business as their CFO.
Robert has been investing in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies since 2015, and with his understanding of the banking system, economics, and the risks inherent in the financial system, was interested in cryptocurrencies and eager to work in the space. He was presented with this opportunity in early 2018 when he decided to resign as CFO of the eCommerce business and trade his investment portfolio full time. He spent the majority of 2018 sharpening his trading methodology and furthering his education in the crypto markets and trading.
He was approached by The MoonLite Project in June 2018, to join them as their CFO, and after having acquired the necessary skills, he felt it was the perfect fit given his passion for cryptocurrency, finance and trading.
